Despite current economic uncertainty and “challenging trading conditions”, Lloyd family-run Motor Group saw their pre-tax profits rise 17.9% to 9.8m in 2018, defying the odds to see a gross profit of 6.7% across the group.

Lloyd Motor Group has eight franchises across 21 dealerships, employing almost 1,000 people across the North of England and Scotland. The family-run business represents Honday Jaguar, MINI, Volvo, Land Rover, and BMW, who have awarded them UK BMW Retailer of the Year four times in the last ten years.

In 2017 BMW recognised the Group as their worldwide Leading Retailer for Customer Care, and currently ranks 28 in the Motor Trade Top 200. Their 3.7% turnover rise takes their 2018 total turnover across the group to £562m – positive news in an industry continuing to face challenges in the current uncertain climate.
